How long does it take to settle a second village?
We tracked 13,101 accounts on 17 servers. On a 1x server the median top-100 player settles on day 6; active casual players take about 9 days. Beat the number for your speed and you are ahead of most of your server.
Median days from server start to a second village, among accounts that settled within 14 days. Each value is accurate to about half a day (data). Read the full settlement case study for the cohort definitions and limits.

The 1x gap is almost three days
Among accounts that reached a second village within 14 days, the 1x median is 6.0 days for the top-100 group and 8.9 days for active casual accounts. The gap is 2.9 days. On 2x worlds the medians are 2.9 and 4.9 days; on 3x they are 1.9 and 3.0 days.
These are comparisons between account groups, not the effect of following one particular build order. Top-100 status is measured by population on day 14, after the settlement window has already begun. Earlier settlement can itself contribute to that ranking.
In the 1x active casual cohort, 3,787 of 6,058 accounts reached a second village within the window: 62.5%. The 8.9-day median describes those settlers, not every account in the cohort. Accounts that settled later are absent from that time statistic.
Methodology and limits
This study uses daily TraviTools map snapshots through 5 October 2026. The launch cohort contains accounts with exactly one village in the first daily snapshot of each world. Settlement is detected in the first snapshot showing at least two villages, measured from server start and shifted back 12 hours to estimate the midpoint between daily captures. Individual times have roughly half a day of uncertainty.
Top players are the top 100 by population on day 14. Active casual accounts are below that group and grew in population between day 7 and day 14. Accounts without that growth and accounts with a recorded conquest before their second village are excluded. Growth is an observed population signal, not proof of login activity.
The 17-world dataset covers nine 1x, two 2x, five 3x and one 5x world. The comparison table shows the first three speed groups; the single 5x world is available in the download but is too narrow a sample for a broad speed comparison. Server cohorts differ, so these figures do not establish that speed alone causes the timing gaps.
